The Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and creating and implementing strategic plans to increase revenue and improve profitability. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive growth, while constantly staying abreast of the latest industry trends. 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • Identifying and reaching out to potential customers and developing strategies to convert them into actual customers 
  • Conducting outbound sales activities, including cold-calling, email campaigns, and other outreach efforts to identify and pursue new business opportunities. 
  • Creating and implementing strategic plans to increase revenue and improve profitability, taking into account market trends and company goals.
  • Staying abreast of the latest industry trends, conduct market research to identify potential opportunities, and provide insights to the company’s leadership team. 
  • Answering customer questions, provide product and service-related information, and offer support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying new business opportunities, researching market trends and competitors, and identifying potential clients or partners to expand the company’s reach. 
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure that business development efforts align with overall company goals and objectives.
  • Presenting, promoting and selling our services or products using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Achieving sales targets and KPIs
  • Supplying management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keeping abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Assisting with continuous improvement through feedback

Key Requirements: 

  • Previous experience in business development, sales, client relationship management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Proven track record of successfully promoting products/services and driving sales.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other business development tools. 
  • Ability to travel to attend industry events and meet with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
